UNDIR (UNDER) is a new play by Adolf Smára Unnarsson.
A metro station shortly before noon. Five people are waiting for the train when they notice someone lying motionless on the tracks. Did he fall? Did he drop something? Is he drunk? Dead? There are only four minutes to the next train. What's this man doing? One by one, the people at the metro station speak and reenact how they remember this morning. But it's hard to get a clear picture because each and everyone has a different story, that contradicts the one before. There are only three minutes until the next train arrives. Is nobody going to do something? Is nobody going to help the man on the tracks? There are only two minutes to the next train. A demanding and aggressive comedy where our ideas regarding society, truth and responsibility are turned on their heads.
“An innovative and robust play [...] a moral study that pushes the audience to ask themselves complicated and obtrusive questions.”
“Really interesting theater – important here and now!”
“A skilfully structured play, sometimes haunting, but mostly funny.”
